Jacob: What Does It Mean To Be Children of Israel?
Rabbi David Fohrman
Jacob (also called Israel) is one of our forefathers and perhaps the one we can relate to the most. We know about his struggles with his parents, wives, in-laws children, and we see him grow through his life. When looking through Jacob's life, we are able to track incredible textual patterns in the text. These patterns help us see deeper layers of Jacob, and help us, the Nation of Israel, understand where we come from and what reconciliation really means.
